In a previous post, I shared with you guys a little bit about me and about my personality, but also about my weaknesses and as well as a glimpse of my perception of myself. If you haven’t read it already, make sure you check it out here. For now, let’s discover a bit more about me, shall we?
So who am I? really?
The good news is that: Yes, I decided to listen to that nagging voice I had for a while now and start my first online platform, which is this blog. And so, ladies and gentlemen,I decided to write this first post to tell you a little bit about myself, but also to give you an idea about what you guys should expect from my blog.
To be completely honest with you (honesty is a big thing to me!), it is a good opportunity for me to try and collect all these ideas floating in my mind and present them into a form that will make sense for you and me, and hopefully be able to help you guys out, even just a little bit.
what do I do?
So, here we go: My name is Khaoula, I am a 28-year-old girl from Morocco. I was born and raised in Tetouan, which is a small city in the North of Morocco, and then moved to a few big cities for educational and professional purposes, always within the country. I am an engineer and a Ph.D. candidate and I work on global environmental issues such as coastal management, pollution prevention, sustainable development, and durability of construction materials, etc.
Well, I have written a few reports and have even published some research papers. If you’re interested in knowing more about my work and my research, you can find them by simply googling my name or by visiting my LinkedIn or Academia pages (Very professional, right ? ;)).
I am a born and raised Muslim and I am extremely proud of that! I speak three languages, namely Arabic, French and English and I am currently learning Spanish, so feel free if you have comments in any of those languages, I’ll be more than happy to respond and to get in touch with you guys!
As part of my work, I had the opportunity to travel around the world on different business trips. I visited 15+ countries on all continents. I have to say, I love traveling, and whenever I do, and although I am usually there for a short time with a crazy heavy work schedule, I always try to learn as much as possible about the country, the culture, the food, the traditions, etc. My favorite part though is meeting new people from different nationalities and backgrounds. I consider myself blessed to have several very good friends from different countries around the world, with whom I can have very interesting conversations; we can embrace our differences and spend a great time together. However, sometimes, I meet people on a plane or in a local community and I never see them again, but I cherish those memories and I think of them as an important part of my joy of life.
I am also passionate about quite some things such as fitness, hijab fashion, makeup, natural remedies for hair and skin, and all that girl stuff. I also love serving my community through different social activities that I usually do as a member of some NGOs. Anyways, enough about me! You’ll have the opportunity to find out more in next posts, so make sure you stay tuned 😀
To be continued
Until then, stay blessed!
